Lamborghini, Ferrari & Maserati F1 / E-Gear Specialist

ASE Certified Exotic Car Technician – Craig Waterman

Welcome to the website of Craig Waterman, an ASE Certified Technician specializing in Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Maserati service and repair. I am an owner-operator with real-world experience working on and owning high-performance exotic vehicles, including Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari, and Maserati models.

I have personally owned and operated a 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo equipped with an Underground Racing Stage 3 Twin Turbo system, producing 837 wheel horsepower on a Mustang Dyno using high-octane pump gas. This hands-on ownership experience allows me to diagnose, repair, and optimize exotic vehicles at a level most shops cannot match.

In addition to Lamborghini, I have owned multiple Maserati models, including the Maserati 4200, GranSport, and GranTurismo MC Stradale. My service portfolio also includes Ferrari models, Audi R8s, and other high-performance European vehicles, which you can view in the serviced vehicles gallery.

F1 & E-Gear Transmission Specialist

I specialize in F1 and E-Gear transmission systems, among the most advanced and complex electro-hydraulic gear shift systems ever installed in Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati vehicles. These systems require precise diagnostics, specialized knowledge, and real-world experience.

I offer:

  • F1 / E-Gear diagnostics

  • E-Gear F1 actuator rebuild services

  • Hydraulic system repair

  • Clutch and calibration services

  • Performance and drivability optimization

Whether you’re experiencing shifting issues, warning lights, actuator failures, or drivability concerns, I provide expert-level solutions tailored specifically to exotic vehicles.

Exotic Car Service Backed by Passion & Integrity

While my focus is on Lamborghini and Maserati, I routinely service Ferraris, Audi R8s, and other exotic and high-performance vehicles. Every vehicle is worked on with precision, honesty, and respect.

I am driven by a passion for automobiles and my faith in Jesus, and I believe integrity and craftsmanship matter just as much as performance.

Purpose of This Website

The goal of this website is to help you understand the real-world pitfalls of owning exotic vehicles. My very first Maserati ownership experience quickly turned into a nightmare—not because the car was inherently bad, but because of a lack of accurate information and proper guidance. That experience is what motivated me to create this site.

The knowledge shared here comes from hands-on ownership, diagnostics, and repair experience, not theory. While creating and documenting this material takes a significant amount of time and effort, new content is added as time allows. This site has been active since 2016, and I encourage you to continue checking back for updated and expanded information.

Please take your time browsing the site, and feel free to ask any questions you may have. If you believe I may be of assistance, I invite you to contact me directly. I am based in the Boston, Massachusetts area.

Remote Diagnostic & Technical Support

If you are a repair shop or an individual owner with access to a scan tool and need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out. I have helped shops and private owners around the world diagnose and resolve complex issues—often remotely.

Some of the locations I’ve assisted include Taiwan, Russia, Australia, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and throughout the United States (in some cases working through interpreters). References and testimonials are available upon request.
